Lunch break between meetings in Asia IT Park. I really don’t feel like having sandwiches or Pizza or Pasta I want to do myself something good not replenish fuel but feel good about it. So my friend who was with me suggested to go to Ila Puti since we both have yet to dine there and it looks quite nice.
The first impression is that it is freezing in there in fact I feel the resulting flu creeping up on me right now – perfectly timed for my precious weekend *argh*.
Anyhow so the ambience is nice and the service is quick and very friendly so far so good.
We browse the menu and enjoy the photographs hopping for inspiration I fall in love with the idea of fresh romaine lettuce with arugula and parmesan with a light dressing – spiced up to resemble Mediterranean cuisine. Time comes to order the first disappointment hits – “oh sorry ma’am we are out of stock.” Hmm lunch time on a Wednesday and they are out of stock for ALL salads? Wow what exactly is management doing?
That should have been a warning but well we were hungry and had no time now to change venues so we ordered some meet plates with fried rice. Again for the looks I must say, thumbs up – ok lacking green and leafy but I am probably biased on that one so lets let it slide – it smells all right too but to be honest compared to what your average food court has to offer I must say a clear rip off. True the presentation is much better here but is that enough reason to pay 4 times the price?
Also At the food courts you can be sure it will be fresh with so many lunch goers but here well – I am not sure but next day I did not feel so good and it might have been the beef on my dish it had a sauce so acidic it was hard to tell what the original taste of the meet was supposed to be and maybe just maybe that was on purpose? Who knows?
Over all verdict: - pretty and friendly but not worth the money or the freezing.
