I have a penchant when it comes to experimenting new dishes that when one of my Filipino friends suggested that we try Thai cuisine, I didn't have second thoughts of trying it.
As we try to cruise around Ayala Center, Cebu City we came across Siam Thai Cuisine.

As we entered the restaurant, I can't help but noticed its quaint atmosphere and very attentive and courteous staffs. We were very much amused by the ambiance offered by the restaurant. The seat was comfortable enough to drive my appetite into frenzy. Since I'm still a newbie when it comes to Thai cuisine, I asked a lot of questions which the waiter politely explained it to me.

The foods were very palatable and unique. We started with the Siam Sampler, which has four treats chicken pandan, prawn patties, crispy beef in sesame seeds, and crispy spring rolls. There were three different sauces that went well with the fried stuff. That was a superb appetizer for me. The Thai Mango Salad was my choice. I thought that having a sweet or sour mango to go with our mostly fried dishes will be a good respite for our tongues from the oil. And indeed, the Thai Mango Salad turned out to be great. Nothing mind blowing mind you, but something to look forward to when ordering again. Fried Squid in Garlic was right for me, I like seafood, especially squid. The pork dishes of Siam are something meat lovers like me would thoroughly enjoy. The Thai Crispy Pata with Thai Herb Sauce was a best-seller for a reason. The Crispy Pata was delicious, the herb sauce has a unique taste which I find it to have that tangy taste. The Thai Grilled Spareribs with Honey and Thai Herbs tastes really good also. What I liked most about the food in Siam Thai was the touch of smooth tamarind taste with the wonderful aroma and taste of herbs and lemon grass.

Generally, the food and service were both good, I personally would like to commend the staff for their politeness and the food arrived on time. However, the price is definitely not for a regular day meal, but all in all we had a blast from our Thai food trip. Ciao!
