So having pochero during semana santa is punishable by restaurant or what?
Cheaverz deliverz second try.
So the last time we figured we did not get enough different dishes to really judge the service so we decided to give it a second try. And mostly we decided that we felt like having nice cozy feeling like home cooked food without the hassle to actually have to be in the kitchen ourselves. So we decided to order in.
We were really hungry and a variety of dishes was what the mood was set on but the piece de resistance was supposed to be the pochero! Now I never told you that but for me the best part of the pochero is the bone marrow and guess what they took it out! Can you imagine somebody had taken out the whole bone marrow and has replaced it with some cheap cooking grease a tasteless white paste probably based on vegetable oil! Honestly that is not only distasteful but makes me straight out angry! They ruined my evening. So since Cheaverz was obviously cheap enough to take out the marrow of the bone I wondered what else they tampered with so I took the time to double check and sure enough watch this:
Ngohiong on the menu 6php they charged me 24php for three pieces
Pork Belly on the menu 69php they charged me 164 for two servings
Pork BBQ on the menu 13php I was charged 90 for 6 sticks
Pochero on the menu245php I was charged 249
Chicharon on the menu 90php and imagine they charged me only 90 too!
Bicol Express on the menu 55php I was charged 118 for two servings
And of course rice on the menu for 11php I had to pay 45 for three servings
Now I understand that prices can change without prior notice but honestly that plus the missing bone marrow and the fact that I got two bills one in detail for less and a second with only the final amount that was asked to pay and that the delivery guy did not want to leave me the detailed invoice at first?
I feel like somebody pulled me over the table and that is not a feeling you enjoy for dinner very much.
OK on the positive note - the Bicol express was quite tasty.
Happy Holidays every one and a word of advice don't order out it is not worth the disappointment. One thing is for certain - we will not need a third try to judge Cheaverz.
